We don’t photograph the same way after one year,

We don’t photograph the same way after one year, three years, or ten years behind the lens.

With time, our perspective shifts.
We learn to listen more than direct, to wait for the right moment instead of forcing it.
We refine our taste, the way we compose, the way we edit.
But most importantly… we realize we’re not just capturing images.
We’re capturing emotions. Traces. Living memories.

Today, I look back at my early work with tenderness.
It feels like chapters of a personal diary — imperfect, yet honest.
And that’s the beauty of this craft: we grow, just like the stories we tell.

🇫🇷On ne photographie pas de la même façon après 1 an, 3 ans ou 10 ans derrière un appareil.

Avec le temps, notre regard change.
On apprend à écouter plus qu’à diriger, à attendre l’instant juste plutôt que de le provoquer.
On affine nos goûts, notre manière de composer, notre façon d’éditer.
Mais surtout… on comprend que ce qu’on capture, ce ne sont pas seulement des images.
Ce sont des émotions. Des traces. Des souvenirs vivants.

Aujourd’hui, je regarde mes anciens reportages avec tendresse.
Ils sont comme des chapitres d’un journal intime : imparfaits, mais vrais.
Et c’est ça, la beauté de ce métier : on évolue, tout comme les histoires que l’on raconte.
